With a thorough, thoughtful process, we ensure that every detail is accounted for. Our process is built on the foundation of deep listening, understanding, and discovering what home feels like to you! We handle it all and take it off your plate entirely so you can enjoy the design journey every step of the way.
Our collaboration begins with a conversation. On the initial Discovery Zoom or phone call, we’ll get the ball rolling to learn more about the details of your project. We’ll get to know one another and see if we are a fit to bring your design dreams to life. Next up, we schedule an in-person Home Review consultation with you where we come to your space to uncover your home’s potential, discuss more about your project and lifestyle requirements and your planned investment. We’ll dig deeper into how we’ll work with you and together we start feeling inspired!
About a week later, we’ll reconvene to review our Home Review Report. This report will include our findings of your design priorities and our expert target design recommendations for your home. From here we will prepare your design proposal that includes project scope of work, our fee proposal, our agreement and a preliminary project timeline. After your agreement, we’ll move into Phase Two where things we have even more fun!
To get things off on the right foot, we conduct a project kickoff event, where your design experience officially begins! Conceptual design is where we really dig in to identify the critical design elements so we can give you a visual picture to start to see and feel your space. We continue our research, work on initial layouts, conduct a trade/contractor day to gather feasibility and ballpark estimates. We collect inspirational images, initial color palettes, and a few key materials, and start creating initial design boards. We meet to share our vision and collaborate on what direction to move forward with in Phase Three where your design comes to life!
In this phase, we take concepts and turn them into tangibles- products and finishes that you can see and feel. We finalize and detail all plans and drawings and get final proposals and estimates from vendors and contractors. Ideas, dreams, color palettes, fabrics, furnishings, and materials turn into actual samples and renderings. The composition of all these design elements will provide you with a feeling of home for your future space. We’ll meet again to collaborate and get your approval before any final decisions are made.
The design comes to life with all hands-on deck! We work closely with vendors and trades as the design is implemented even better than you imagined. We handle the logistical pieces as we procure the furnishings, lighting, and materials involved in your design. We carefully inspect each item to ensure quality. Lots of action happens during this phase, but don’t worry – we coordinate all the moving pieces so it’s a success and comes together perfectly!
Need we say more? Get the red carpet out! The transformation has been known to leave our clients jaw dropping. Even when you know what to expect, there’s something about stepping into and seeing your space for the first time…
As soon as possible! It really helps to have your interior designer on board when hiring an architect or general contractor. We understand how all the pieces and parts fit together in a new build or renovation. We’re here to be your advocate, guiding you through all the steps and ensuring your dreams become reality.
Our collaborative process has a series of steps that help us to get to know you and your design dreams. Our lifestyle questionnaire serves as a launching point for us to discuss your style and functional desires. From there, we dig deeper, reviewing inspiration photos and discussing how you live. It’s a fun and interactive process that allows us to interpret and thoughtfully create a design that feels like home to you.
This is a must and very important part of the puzzle. We help to educate our clients on all the pieces (design fees, furnishings, project management, contractor fees) that go into this investment and what is typically allocated for their project size and scope. Our goal is to work within your investment range.
